Questions about the plans
What happens when I use up the free allowance? #
The next tool call is refused, not billed. The free cap is checked before a call runs, and the refusal tells you the allowance resets at the start of your next period and that Pro is available from your dashboard. Free carries two allowances, 250 tool calls and 40 agent runs a month, and the runs are usually what you reach first, because one agent run normally makes several tool calls. There is no card on file either way, so nothing arrives as a bill.
Which tool calls count against the allowance? #
The ones that reached the API. A successful call counts, and so does a request that came back with a legitimate no, because it ran. Server errors are not metered: if the DataToRAG gateway is down, a plugin crashes, or an upstream API returns a 5xx, that call is not counted against you. Your usage dashboard shows what ran.
I pay for Pro, so why are my calls counting on the free plan? #
You most likely have two DataToRAG accounts. DataToRAG makes one account per sign-in email, and each AI app asks you to sign in to DataToRAG once, when you add the connector. Pick a different Google login in one app and that app is on a second account, usually a free one, and its calls count there. Nothing errors until the free limit. To fix it, remove the DataToRAG connector in that app, add it back, and sign in with the email that holds your plan. Do not disconnect the Google account under the other login to tidy up, because that can break it under the login you keep. The Usage docs have the steps for each app.
Is any connector or feature behind the paid tier? #
No. Every tier gets every connector and every tool, several accounts side by side, and the approval gate on writes. What Pro and Enterprise buy is a larger monthly allowance, not a larger feature set, which is why there is no per-connector upsell anywhere on this page.
Can I run the gateway myself instead? #
Yes. The DataToRAG gateway is open source and you can self-host it, which is also the Enterprise choice: hosted by us, or run by you, at a committed-volume rate either way.
How do I get an Enterprise quote? #
Tell us what you are running and a person answers. The contact form reaches us directly, Enterprise includes everything in Pro, and the rate is negotiated against committed volume rather than published as a tier.
